After finishing my summer employment I returned home to the west side of the mountains. I had not taken a photo since the beginning of June and I figured the best way to remedy that was to head back to Mount Rainier National Park for one night. I picked up a friend and we started at Tipsoo Lake in hopes of good light. There were no clouds in the sky so I decided to explore a little more behind Upper Tipsoo to avoid getting the same reflection shot the other 15 photographers there were shooting with no interesting light. From there we stopped to grab a shot of the supermoon lighting the park and at Reflection Lakes to see it moonlit. We took a quick nap near the Paradise Lodge and started out on the Skyline Trail at 4am to see the sunrise from Mazama Ridge. Enjoy the gallery - many of these are available under the landscapes section of my site for purchase.
